As the name would suggest, these new Citroen DS3 Red special editions get plenty of the bright hue about them, including the rather unmissable 'Sport Red' front grille, door mirrors and roof panels. Highlighting the Polar White or Perla Nera Black (£480 optional extra) body paint colours we see here, all DS3 Red models come with the 'Red Touch' exterior pack, while inside the bright red upgrades can be seen across the smoothly painted dashboard and door handle surrounds.

And the colour coding continues with the DS3 Red's wheels, depending on the body colour chosen by the customer, with either white or black 16-inch 'Ashera' alloy wheels on DStyle Red models and white or black 17-inch 'Bellone' alloys on DSport Red models. All wheels feature 'Sport Red' centre caps.

Standard equipment for the DStyle Red includes Citroen's 'Connect Signature' pack with Bluetooth and USB connectivity and an enhanced stereo system with additional speakers. The 'City Signature' pack, which comes as standard on the DSport Red, includes automatic headlights and wipers, rear parking sensors, electric heated and folding door mirrors, an electrochrome rear view mirror, interior mood lighting and a front central armrest. All DSport Reds also enjoy the connectivity and audio upgrades as seen on the DStyle Red.

Engine's wise and the choice is decent. The DS3 DStyle Red is available with either a VTi 120 petrol engine, or an e-HDi 90 Airdream diesel that produces 98g/km of CO2. The DS3 DSport Red is offered with either the potent THP 155 petrol engine, with a 6-speed manual gearbox, or an e-HDi 115 Airdream diesel again with a 6-speed manual gearbox.

The new Citroen DS3 Red special editions are available to order now, priced from £15,655.
